Multiple DMV Transactions in One Appointment
- To schedule more than one transaction during one appointment, use the "Additional Information" field of the scheduling form to list all of the items you need to complete
- Review the requirements below for each transaction type you plan to complete
You may renew starting September 1st of the previous year that your card is expiring.

REALID & Enhanced Card Document Tips
- You must select documents from the approved lists linked above. If it is not on the lists, it will not work.
- Hard copies of documents must be presented.
- Copies of digital documents are not accepted (downloaded off a website).
- Names must match exactly, initials for first name will not work.
- Tax Returns: you must have the signature page.
- Lease Agreements: you must have the signature page.
If your card is not expired/expiring (if your card was lost or stolen), complete these steps to apply for a duplicate.

- Make sure everyone has signed in the proper places on the MN title and bring it with you to your appointment
- Gather and bring the following insurance information to your appointment:
- Company Name
- Policy Number
- Expiration Date
- If there are alterations on the title, a corrections form is required [LINK TO FORM?]
- If there was a lien on the title, a release is required in the form of a postcard or a notarized letter

- Make sure you have either the current title or registration from other State and bring it with you to your appointment
- You must have copies of driver's licenses for all owners of the vehicle at your appointment, however only one owner needs to be present to sign
- Gather and bring the following insurance information to your appointment:
- Company Name
- Policy Number
- Expiration Date

If there are no issues, you should walk out of your appointment with a new title in your hands.
Note About Stored Vehicles: If your vehicle has been in storage for a length of time and not been driven, you might be eligible to claim non-use for the time in storage. Check with your clerk.

Tab Renewals
- Vehicle must be titled in MN and have current MN Plates.
If not, please choose a Title Appointment to transfer vehicle into your name. - Gather and bring the following insurance information to your appointment:
- Company Name
- Policy Number
- Expiration Date
- If you are not the current registered owner of the vehicle, you must have written authorization to purchase tabs.
Authorization must include all the following:- Owners Name, Driver’s License Number and Address
- County the vehicle is kept in
- Authorized Persons Name and Driver’s License #
- Vehicle Plate #, Year, Make and Last 4 of VIN
- Signature of Registered Owner

If you are not the current registered owner, you must have written authorization (see #3 above) from the current owner.
Required Steps Before Your Appointment
- You must have a MN driver’s license or ID card to qualify for a Short Term, Long Term or Permanent Placard.
Without a MN driver's license or ID card, you will only qualify for a temporary placard. - Complete the Disability Parking Certificate Application (PDF opens in a new tab)
- The top portion of the application must be filled out and signed by the person with a disability
- The bottom 2/3 of the application must be filled out completely and signed by the physician
- There can be no alterations on this application. If alterations are made, a new application is required.
- Anyone can complete this transaction on behalf of the eligible individual with a disability as long as the eligible individual has signed the form.
Register new or renew the registration for your watercraft, snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), off-road vehicle (OHV) or off-highway motorcycle (OHM).

- Present a Title, Bill of Sale or Receipt for Purchase
Registration Renewal
- Postcard renewal notice from the DNR or you must be the registered owner. If you are not the current owner, you must have a completed Authorization Form [LINK?] to renew.
