Already Completed Classroom at Another Driving School?
Students under the age of 18 who have completed classroom learning at other driving schools may enroll at AAA Minneapolis for Behind-the-Wheel Lessons with a letter of completion from that school. The letter is required even if your student already has their permit.
Required: Submit Your Letter of Completion
Before enrolling in behind-the-wheel classes, send the letter of completion for students under age 18 to: drivingschool@aaaminneapolis.com.

All of our behind-the-wheel lessons take place during private, two-hour sessions. Lessons begin and end at AAA Minneapolis headquarters in St. Louis Park or, for the first after-school lesson, we meet students at the following high schools:

- Benilde St. Margaret’s
- Breck School
- The Blake School
- DeLaSalle High School
- Minnetonka High School
- Edina High School
- Hopkins High School
- Minneapolis Washburn High School
- St. Louis Park High School
- Minneapolis Southwest High School
- Wayzata High School
- Groves Academy
Please Note: All lessons end at AAA Minneapolis Headquarters in St. Louis Park. Minimum enrollment age is 14.5 years.

Driver Knowledge/Permit Exams and Road Tests
AAA Minneapolis does not administer driver knowledge/permit exams or road tests in our license bureau. To complete your knowledge/permit and/or road test, schedule an appointment on the DVS website.
